European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The company Delphi will close its plant in Linhó. The company justified the measure by a lack of work. The measure will affect 320 workers, whose contracts will be terminated by mutual agreement. Delphi management will offer the dismissed employees 1.5 month wages per year of service. Delphi is installed in Portugal since 1980 and has five plants in Portugal (Braga, Guarda, Castelo Branco, Ponte de Sôr and Seixal). The company Delphi produces components for the automobile sector.
