European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The textile company Confecções Corgo announced its closure in Vila do Conde due to the debts accumulated towards the Ministry of Finance, Social Security and the workers. The 180 workers affected by the closure of the company demand the payment of the October and November wages, Christmas subsidy and vacation benefit. The company was on hold since November 2005 due to the lack of work.
Confecções Corgo is established in Portugal since 1979.
