Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
In September 2005 A&G Textile opened a new factory in Narva. In November 60 employees were working in the new factory and according to manager of A&G Textile, the plans of the company are to hire up to 200 employees by the end of 2006. Since 2004, A&G Textile belongs to the Finnish workwear producer Image Wear and 85% of the production is exported to Finland. Image Wear invested 2.3 million Estonian crowns in the new factory in Narva. The expected turnover of Narva factory by the end of the year will be 5-6 million Estonian crowns.
