European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Tatravagónka Company, in order to reduce its production costs has dismissed 325 employees from February to October 2005. In December 2005, Management decided to re-hire some of these employees. On the top of the former 103 production workers, some 53 workers will be hired in December 2005. This change in the employment structure was is a result of the increased demands of rail freight wagons and their components during the third quarter of 2005.
