Description
The car components producer Valeo will cut 98 out of some 500 jobs in Mjällby (89 blue-collar jobs and 9 white-collar jobs). This redundancy plan is the second to be announced by the company in 2005. Already in May, some 99 workers had been dismissed. The reasons for this redundancy plan are reduced orders and tightening competition. Part of the production will be relocated outside Sweden. Further information regarding the plan has not been published.
