European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Mann-Mobilia, a furniture retailer that was recently taken over by its Austrian competitor XXXLutz, will cut between 120 and 130 jobs at is headquarters in Karlsruhe in South Western Germany. XXXLutz wants to finish negotiations about the redundancy program in december 2005 and lay off staff by the end of the year. The job losses will occur in administrative units such as book keeping, legal services and data processing. There will be direct dismissals.
