Description

Kovosvit MAS Sezimovo Ústí, machine tool producer, has decided to close its plant in Písek by the end of 2005. The restructuring project should lower production costs and implies about 130 job losses.

Despite the unemployment rate (7.9 %) in the Písek region is the second highest in the area of South Bohemia, dismissed workers will have a good chance to find a new job. According to the director of the local labour agency, the demand for such skills is currently high.
