European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The company Repostería Martinez, owned by the Sara Lee Group, is specialised in the production of biscuits and is based in El Espinar (Segovia, Castilla y Leon, Spain) and in Briviesca (Burgos,Castilla y Leon, Spain). On 6 October 2005 the company announced the closure of the plant in El Espinar with the creation of 150 redundancies. The company will concentrate its production in the Briviesca plant with 400 employees.
