Description

Dutch Tourist and Automobile Association (ANWB) will cut between 600 and 800 jobs until 2008 , the director of the organisation, Guido Van Woerkom, said on 8 September 2005.

ANWB currently employs about 4,300. Part of the job cuts will be implemented through natural attrition, however, forced redundancies will also be included. The organisation is currently negotiating with the trade unions about a social plan for the redundant employees. The reasons for the reorganisation are the decreasing number of ANWB members, the increasing costs and the lower consumer confidence, the director said.
