Description
U.S. computer group Hewlett-Packard will cut 350 of its 2,600 jobs in the Netherlands. The move is part of HP's restructuring programme announced in July 2005 envisaging 14,500 job cuts, or 10% of the group's workforce. A bit less than half of the redundant employees work exclusively for the Dutch market, the rest are engaged in cross-border projects. Most of the jobs in the Netherlands will be cut at the company's offices in Utrecht and Amstelveen. Some jobs will be transferred, others will be cut through natural attrition. For the remaining redundant employees a social plan will be set up.
