The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Merial, world leader in veterinary activities, announced on 21 September 2005 its will to cut 200 jobs amongst its 1,700 workers in France by 2009. The objective is to reorganise the production activities settled in Lyon and Lentilly. Merial is a subsidiary of Sanofi-Avnetis and Merck and employs about 6,000 persons in the world.
