In August 2005, French automobile producer Renault announced using its Novo Mesto-based company to produce its new car model coded X44. Start of the production and the employment of 700 workers have been delayed due to design modifications of the model and will be set in October 2005. Slovenian government subsidised the project launch with 40 million SIT.

In April 2006 Revoz abolished its night shift because of the decreasing demand for the model Clio on the European market which led to the loss of several hundred jobs. In summer 2006, the demand for Clio increased again and Revoz is planning to produce a new modernised type of the model Clio Storia. As a result, and due to the intensive preparations for the introduction of the new car X44 in the year 2007, Revoz decided to reintroduce the night shift in November 2006. This means that 400 new jobs were created to compensate the loss of jobs due to the abolishment of the night shift. The jobs will be for a fixed term of one year, but there is a possibility for the prolongation of contracts.

According to the announcement of 31 January 2007, in the beginning of May 2007 Revoz will reintroduce a full night shift which will result in additional 250 to 300 new jobs. The reason is high demand in the European market for the second generation of model Clio, as well as the ongoing preparation for the beginning of the production of the new car X44.
