Market Reach a call centre operator with telesales operations in Falmouth, Plymouth and Sidmouth has announced that 250 jobs have will be lost at call centres in Devon and Cornwall. The company has gone into liquidation and the workers will not be paid. Workers said it had come as a bolt from the blue and staff were still being taken on this week, 'there was so little warning of what was about to happen that new people were still being taken on on Monday and starting their training.' Plymouth's Chamber of Commerce and the Job Centre said they had heard nothing formal from the firm.
