European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
In the framework of HP's announcement to lay off over 6,000 employees in Europe, the company is to dismiss 140 people in Belgium. No indication yet has been given on the exact location where the dismissals will take place. HP Belux currently owns five sites in Belgium and Luxembourg: two in Brussels, one in Strombeek, Zwevegem and Luxembourg city. Following the merger between HP and Compaq in 2002, HP Belgium had already let go 120 people.
