Description

A proposed major expansion at RAF Cosford, which could bring more than 2,000 jobs to the area, has won initial approval from Bridgnorth councillors. The MoD is planning to streamline some of the country's military training, involving the private sector. RAF Cosford in Shropshire is a key site and a plan to use it for aeronautical engineering training is being assessed. As the planning authority concerned, Bridgnorth District Council has been deeply involved in the process. These include 2,300 news jobs, up to 550 new houses and £20 million of investment in the local economy.
