European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 23 August 2005, the food producer HK Ruokatalo, started cooperation negotiations with its employees in order to cut jobs.
The company is renewing its pork slaughtering line, implementing a quick carcass refrigeration plant and improving other facilities With greater efficiency, the new line will require fewer people than the former one. The company expects around 68 jobs to be lost.
