Description

Drauz Nothelfer, a toolmaker for the car industry and daughter of steel giant ThyssenKrupp, has negotiated a deal with trade union IG Metall that foresees the cutting of 511 jobs at 5 units in Germany. 226 of the jobs have already been cut, which leaves another 285 jobs to disappear until the end of 2005. There shall be 110 direct dismissals. In return for the cuts, the trade union received an employment guarantee for the rest of the staff until September 2009.
