Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Daisy Communications, based in Nelson, has created 120 new jobs and said that it had brought forward expansion plans to help out redundant employees of failed computer firms Tiny and Time who went into administration in early August 2005 with the loss of 1,500 jobs. The company runs a 25,000 square feet call centre in Burnley.
