Description

Manufacturer of ceramic products Villeroy & Boch has announced the closure of its tile-production facility in Merzig. 140 jobs will go. €10 million are to be saved through the measure. Turnover in Villeroy & Boch's tile-business went down by almost 18% in the first quarter of 2005. Moreover, 70 jobs will be cut in sanitary ware and another 90 jobs in chinaware.
