European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
After years-long agony Merinka Maribor, a textile company specializing in woolen articles, went bankrupt making the remaining 126 workers redundant. Numerous ownership and leadership changes during last years and reconstruction plans proved inefficient, culminating in work-strikes that paralysed the firm during summer 2005.
