Description

The Inditex Group, one of the world’s largest fashion distribution groups, specialises in textile design, manufacturing and distribution. In 2004, the group had sales amounting to €5,670 million and generated a profit of €628 million. The group decided to create a new logistic and distribution centre in Madrid, involving 1,400 new jobs. Inditex agreed with the regional authorities that the centre will be functioning by the end of 2006. In addition, the group intends to create another two centres in the same province, probably one of them in Arganda (Madrid). Overall, Inditex has six logistic and distribution centres in Spain, in Arteixo (Galicien), Zaragoza (Aragón), Narón (A Coruña, Galicien), Sallent de Llobregat (Barcelona), three in Tordera (Barcelona) and the last one in Elche, employing a total of 2,700 workers.
