European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Administrative receivers have been called in at the furniture makers Christie Tyler . Up to 1,600 jobs are at threat in factories in Wales, the West Midlands and Lincolnshire. The company will be formally put up for sale by Ernst & Young, who have been appointed administrative receivers. They blamed Christie Tyler's problems on increasing international competition and more recently on the weakness of retail sales in the UK which fell to a record low in June.
