Description

The StMicroelectronics reorganisation plan in Italy will involve some 1,200 redundancies in the province of Milan (1,000 jobs) and at the Catania plant (210 jobs). The company will provide incentives for voluntary dismissals and support other measures, such as the change to part-time employment, spin-offs and 'mobility procedures' to accompany workers close to retirement age, with a view to reduce the social impact of the reorganisation process
