European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Due to the reduction in its main customer's (Fiat Auto) purchases and to the high discounts it demands, the Italian subsidiary of the US-based Hayes Lemmerz has decided to close its plant in Campiglione Fenile (TO). The employees will receive income support by the wages guarantee fund until August 2005 and then they will have the possibility to ask for a transfer to the production site in Dello, in the province of Brescia.
