European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Goss International, leader in offset printing solutions, is to close its Montataire's site in Picardie. The closure concerns 301 employees out of 347. The factory's activity is showing large losses due to the Japanese competition since 2003. Management decided to spread the redundancy programme from September 2005 to 2007 and use resignations and early retirements as alternative measures to direct dismissals.
