European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Dutch coffee and tea maker Douwe Egberts will cut up to 600 jobs in the Netherlands until 2008. The restructuring will affect all sites and units of Douwe Egberts Netherlands. CNV Voeding trade union reacted with suprise to the news. A social plan will be negotiated in order to avoid as much direct dismissals as possible.
