Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

The German company Bosch Rexroth will invest €10 million to set up a manufacturing machine-tools components factory in Blaj (Centru Region, Alba county), set to start production in 2007. Company officials disclosed only the barest details: the factory will have 300 employees, a 40,000 square metres location and will manufacture profiled steering slides. Bosh representative office in Romania was set up in 1994 and totals €40 million of annual sales. Products range from portable electric tools to central heating units for flats and houses. Worldwide, the Bosch group reported a turnover of over €40 billion in 2004.
