Description

The French sporting goods chain Decathlon is to open a new store in Anderlecht (Brussels region). The multinational, which employs 25,000 people worldwide, finally received a positive answer from the ederal state despite protests from local retailers backed by the commune. The 4,500 square metres superstore will employ 70 people in the first place. In a second phase, some 150 people are expected to be working there. Decathlon already has seven stores in Belgium, including outlets in Liège and Antwerp.
