Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Oslo-based Norsk Hydro is the leading oil and gas producer in the world, besides being Europe's largest, and the world's third largest company in the aluminum industry. It is active in more than 40 countries. The group employs 36,000 people worldwide. Hydro Aluminium Győr Kft. is a subsidiary owned by Norwegian Norsk Hydro. The company, established in 1993, has produced aluminum engine-blocks and cylinder-heads since summer 1997, when the first factory unit was opened. The company invested €20 million in the opening a new factory unit in 2001. In June 2005, Hydro Aluminium announced the building of its third plant in the frame of a greenfield investment supplementing the existing units.
