Description
Volvo has announced the closure of its bus factory in Heilbronn. Volvo Heilbronn has produced 90 busses per year, fewer than the planned 300. Efforts to sell the factory proved unsuccesful. Trade union IG Metall said it was satisfied with the redundancy programme that foresees the possibility of transfers into a job creation company (Beschäftigungsgesellschaft).
