European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The French automotive parts manufacturer, Le Bélier, specialised in the casting of aluminium, planned on 17 May 2005 to suppress 86 jobs out of 544 at its Vérac's site in Gironde. The announcement didn't come as a surprise as the company in the last years developed most of its activities in foreign countries.
