Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Berufsförderungswerk Hamburg, an organisation owned by the city of hamburg and designed to help disabled people reintegrate into the labour market, will cut 50 % of its workforce. Public entities have cut back their budgets for rehabilitation, hence the Berufsförderungswerk's turnover has shrunk dramatically in recent years, making the job losses inevitable.
