Description
On 24 May 2005, the manufacturer of sweeties Leaf, informed it is closing down its Turku unit due to the overproduction in Europe. According to the company 360 employees will be made redundant. The rest of the employees may still be able to save their jobs in marketing and administrative tasks.
As an result of the cooperation negotations, Leaf informed on 12 July 2005 that it would close down the Turku unit and make 419 employees redundant by the end of 2006.
