Description
Berlin's second biggest employer, university hospital Charité, is to shed 3,100 jobs. The announcement came in the wake of failed negotiations with trade union verdi. verdi abandoned the talks with the management over pay cuts. 1,500 employees are to be dismissed directly, another 1,600 job losses shall be managed through fluctuation, announced the hospital management.
