Description

US computer company Dell is to set up a call centre in Glasgow which could eventually employ up to 850 workers. Dell said that 400 jobs could be created by 2006, with the workforce rising to 850 by 2008. The Texas-based firm is one of the world's largest makers of personal computers. Government support is being given which could be worth about £7.5 million. A company spokesman said the firm was looking forward to the Glasgow centre playing ‘a major role’ in its further expansion.
