European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Edinburgh-based Jenners department store have said that more than 100 jobs are likely to be lost. This follows the £200 million takeover by the House of Fraser group earlier in 2005.
A spokesman for House of Fraser said that the move was the result of the integration of the businesses. The Jenners employees at risk are mostly in head office roles dealing with finance, distribution, buying and merchandising. About 750 staff work at Jenners outlets in Edinburgh, Loch Lomond shore and Glasgow and Edinburgh airports.
