European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Traditional maker of sweets Ragolds is to close its operations at the end of 2005. The owner announced that there is no perspective for a return to sustainable profitable business. Ragolds has in the past suffered from shrinking market shares for its main products and from growing competition. The management has entered negotiations with the workers' representatives about a redundancy programme.
