European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On Monday 2 May 2005, management of Punch Plastics announced a new restructuring plan affecting 95 employees. 73 workers, 14 employees and 8 temporary workers are to be dismissed at the Overpelt site before the plant is relocated to Lommel.
In December 2004, 170 employees had already been dismissed when a part of the activity was transferred to Slovakia.
