European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The division of the VolkerWessels group active in the sector of fixed telephone centrals will stop its activities from January 1, 2006. The 372 employees will be dismissed. The evolution of the technologies and the competition with the mobile network are the reasons invoked by the group for this decision.
