Description
Joh Enschedé company, specialised in banknotes printing, will cut 100 jobs, partly direct dismissals, due to overcapacity and the competition with state companies in other countries. On the thirteen companies operating in this sector, two German companies and Joh Enschedé are the only ones privatised. Negotiations will take place with the unions and the enterprise council. 300 people work on the site of Haarlem. A claim has also been submitted to the European Commission against unfair competition.
