Description
Sara Lee Courtaulds factory, formerly known as Pretty Polly, has confirmed it is to close in Sutton in Ashfield. The 300 jobs at the plant manufacturing hosiery products will be lost with some slight hopes that some can be saved through the intervention of an independent consultant. Managers at the firm blamed cheap foreign imports from the Far East for making the factory in Nottinghamshire too expensive to run.
