European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Renault is a multinational specialised in the manufacture of motor vehicles. On 12 April 2005 the company announced it will suppress the third shift in the Valladolid plant (Castilla y León) manufacturing the Modus model, thus creating 200 redundancies. The management said the measure will only affect 200 temporary workers. The labour representatives are studying the measure.
