Description

The Canadian electronic sub-contractor Celestica, announced in January 2005 a worldwide restructuring affecting 5,000 posts. French management announced on 8 April 2005 the relocation of two French sites specialized in electronic cards and computer peripherals. These two relocations towards the Czech Republic will involve 316 suppressions by July 2006 out of 336 workers. The reason evoked is the loss of Celestica’s largest customer Adaya representing about 96 % of Guérande site’s production. The twenty remaining jobs in Saumur site will be kept as an after-sales service.
