European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The textile group Franzoni Filati announced a restructuring plan including the closure of the Albano plant (88 workers) and 80 further job cuts at Esine and Trani. The plan has been motivated by the increasing competition coming from Far East producers and the need to concentrate on high value-added products. An agreement has been reached by the company management and the unions to use the special wages guarantee fund for one year.
