European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
WP Suspension develops advanced suspension products for motorcycles. Various motorcycle manufacturers, such as KTM or BMW, use WP suspension products in the production of their motorcycles. BMW has decided to stop ordering a certain type of shock breakers in Malden and KTM intends to relocate the production of front forks to Austria. Theses two decisions imply a severe decrease of orders for the Malden site. Therefore, 100 jobs will be cut on the production site of Malden. The restructuring plan has been submitted to the enterprise council and the unions.
