Description
The German ceramics and tiles group Villeroy & Boch plans to cut some 330 jobs until 2007 on the site of Mettlach. The job cuts were justified by sluggish consumer spending, increasing competition from low-wage countries and new technological developments in the tableware sector. The group employs worldwide some 10,000 people.
