Description
In February 2005 the Danish department of Alkaline Batteries announced that the factory in Thisted will be closed during the summer 2005. 100 employees will be made redundant. In the beginning of March 2005 the Foreign Ministry informed that they will try to find a foreign investor through the programme 'Invest in Denmark'. This is a package solution where a new investor in principle takes over production and employees. 24 employees have already found jobs elsewhere.
