Scandinavian Cloetta Fazer is to close sweets factory in Gdańsk (Pomorskie). Company’s management declared that the factory generates losses due to very weak market position and fierce price competition. According to the workers, the plant produces the same assortment than the factories in Sweden and Finland. Despite low production costs in Gdańsk, the factory is to be closed, as the management doesn’t have to take into consideration opinion of Polish government and unions, whereas it has to maintain good reputation in Scandinavian countries.
