Description
Airbus has announced expansion plans which include extending the Filton campus and increasing its workforce to 6,450 by recruiting 200 new engineers. The plans include increasing site size by 20% and redeveloping 26 acres of a derelict factory, Airbus bought the land near Bristol from BAe Systems last year.
Airbus UK managing director Iain Gray said: ‘The strong future prospects of the Airbus business have made it possible... to look at the long term.'
