Airbus has announced expansion plans which include extending the Filton campus and increasing its workforce to 6,450 by recruiting 200 new engineers. The plans include increasing site size by 20% and redeveloping 26 acres of a derelict factory, Airbus bought the land near Bristol from BAe Systems last year.
Airbus UK managing director Iain Gray said: The strong future prospects of the Airbus business have made it possible... to look at the long term.
