Description

St Ives Caerphilly a printing factory in south Wales is to close, with the loss of 210 jobs. The company blamed difficult trading conditions and said its plant in Ystrad Mynach had made a £1.8 million loss. Work from the factory, which prints magazines and paperback books, will move to the company's four other plants in the UK. Titles printed by the group, which also has plants in Andover, Peterborough, Plymouth and Roche in Cornwall, have included Harry Potter, Hillary Clinton's autobiography and the book behind the Atkins Diet phenomenon.
